I'm a member of the ABC Book Club (Alternative Book Club), which is based in the Peak District. It's a closed shop, but they asked me to join after I did a talk on my first novel. I was very honoured. My favourite Book Club read of this year was 'Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine' by Gail Honeyman. It's a fabulous story; a Sunday Times Bestseller and soon to be made into a film. It made me laugh and cry, both at the same time. But maybe that's just me. :) #goodreads #PeakDistrict
July 2020. I've just published my latest novel, Murder on Her Doorstep, set in the Peak District. One of the characters is a local cat, Marmalade. He has a bit of a reputation around these parts, but we've only just found out because of Lockdown. The lady who runs the ABC Book Club thought his story might make an interesting one. I hope she likes what I've done with his character ...
